Who We Are
Dr. Phil Nuernberger has attracted a worldwide following as an innovator in the field of stress and performance management. A Ph.D. in psychology, an accomplished meditation practitioner, a black belt in Karate and a student of Shao Lin Tai Chi, Dr. Nuernberger developed Strategic Intelligence Skills (SIS) to show people how to eliminate stress and take full advantage of the mind’s immeasurable resources. He is the author or co-author of more than a dozen books, and is a visiting faculty member at the Wharton School Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
Establishing one of the first biofeedback clinics in the United States, Dr. Nuernberger taught patients how to eliminate chronic pain, panic attacks, and high blood pressure without the aid of medication. He was one of the first to develop MBA courses in self-mastery disciplines, and to introduce executives to meditation and spirituality as a foundation for integrity and ethics.
Noting that even “good stress” could lead to heart attacks and burnout, Dr. Nuernberger provides clients with the Strategic Intelligence Skills (SIS) to live stress-free. More than a powerful antidote to the healthcare crisis, SIS capitalizes on the profitable link between health and performance. Among the capabilities developed are concentration, creative problem solving, and visionary leadership.
For nearly 40 years, Dr. Nuernberger studied with tantric masters both in the United States and in the Himalayan Mountains of India and Nepal. As early as in the 1970s, he co-founded a research and education institute that helped give rise to holistic health. Dr. Nuernberger has since taught physicians, nurses, and corporate executives healing self-mastery skills.
Currently Dr. Nuernberger teaches at DeSales University and is a visiting faculty member at the Aresty Institute. He is the author of four books, co-author of 11 books, and has written more than 20 articles for scientific and popular magazines.
